Polkadot Substrate and Clade

Clades ambition is to use advancing Machine Learnt and Intelligent algorithms to help users gain further insight into companies current profile. This intern helps our customers make well informed opinions about a company, giving them finger tip and upto date information accross the market.

One of the key benefits of Clades is that we’re largely open source and we like to think we’re community driven. It’s these reason why Clade is bringing Polkadot Substrate into the Clade ecosystem.

What is Polkadot Substrate

It’s firstly a blockchain technology, however this term really doesn’t give justice to the extensive capabilities of a Polkadot Substrate node. It’s almost more like a plug-and-play blockchain, where the builder can pick and choose from a multitude of core features. These features extend from concepts like Democracy and Elections to the ability to create NFT (Non Fungible Tokens).

Clade wants to use this technology at the core of it’s community part of the program. We also want to use the Smart Contract features to enhance this community spirit, such as the creation of a Clade token, which we’re calling “cl3".

So when you first sign-up to Clade, you will receive a set of cl3 tokens to access features on the Clade platform. The initially free “cl3” tokens will allow users like Beta Testers, KickStarters and Community Members access the services. Initially as the tokens are spent they will go back to the treasury.

As we grow the service we plan on applying economic factors to the tokens worth. We would classify this as ‘Tokenomics’. For example, we may look at burning tokens, so that the supply is reduced. We may look at increasing the charge fees for certain transactions. We also may look at rewarding tokens for certain types of behaviour. Once of the founding concepts of Clade is to create governance. Therefore we may ask the Clade community to back certain features by staking their tokens. By investing in tokens, we can also support the community by indirectly funding new features. The Clade treasury will also be able to support new features.

Essentially what Polkadot Substrate allows us todo is create a vibrant ecosystem, which sits alongside the Clade platform form certain features and underpins the community concepts for others.
